Update from Washington: Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) voted “no” on a motion to end debate on Democrats’ Wall St. regulation bill on Wednesday. Cantwell refused to go along because she has not gotten a vote on her amendment to rein in credit default swaps. Ever wonder what an amendment actually looks like when it circulates on the Senate floor? Here’s Cantwell’s amendment–chicken scratches and all–the one that could determine if Wall Street regulations pass the Senate in the next few days.
