They Might Be Giants

Studio 360
The World

Kurt spends the day at Coney Island with John Linnell and John Flansburgh of They Might Be Giants, who perform some of their beachiest numbers, and a Beach Boys cover for good measure. The band got its start in 1982 singing for food in Central Park; they now have more than a dozen records under their belts, including several acclaimed albums for children. Flansburgh and Linnell have also recorded songs for television and film (including the theme for Malcolm in the Middle). Their latest album is Nanobots.
