Armstrong’s Former Teammate on the Cyclist’s Reported Confession

The Takeaway

Lance Armstrong apologized to the staff of his Livestrong Foundation in Austin, Texas yesterday, just a few hours before he taped an interview with Oprah Winfrey. It is during that interview that Armstrong reportedly confessed to doping throughout his cycling career. The interview will air on the Oprah Winfrey Network on Thursday at 9 p.m. Eastern.
Paul Willerton, cyclist and former teammate of Lance Armstrong’s, discusses Armstrong’s decision to confess, and whether the athlete’s image can ever be rehabilitated.
