The United Auto Workers Union says it will adapt to tough times in the auto industry by making concessions that may affect members’ wages, health care and pensions. Union members have reacted: some are angry, some are resigned. And some say they’re more concerned with whether or not they’ll have jobs in six months than with losing benefits. The Takeaway talks to Ken Mefford, a third-generation auto worker who works as a quality control officer with Chrysler.
