The stimulus: one year later

The World

One year ago President Obama signed a landmark economic stimulus package into law. So far, $272 billion has been sent into the country to keep teachers at work, build bridges and extend unemployment benefits. Now, a year later, we take a look at how the plan is working.

In conjunction with WNYC, the Transportation Project looks at where that money’s gone and what that money’s doing for the American economy.

We check back in with Charlie Dilbert, a formerly unemployed road worker from Cinncinati, along with transportation correspondent Andrea Bernstein, to see where and how the stimulus is showing up on the ground.
