President Obama’s harsh words on BP

The World

In an interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer, President Obama suggested that if he were in charge, BP’s CEO would be out of a job. He also used harsh language when addressing critics who have said that he repsonded too slowly to the oil spill crisis.

“I don’t sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar. We talk to these folks because they potentially had the best answers, so I know whose ass to kick,” the president said.

We discuss this presidential language with Washington Post columnist, Sally Quinn.
