Israeli Jets Said to Conduct Airstrike Inside Syria

Regional security officials have said that Israel carried out an airstrike inside Syria overnight. There were no further details given on the exact location, or the target.

For it's part, Syrian State TV reported that Israeli jets attacked a research center in Damascus province.

Israel had been warning in recent days about stopping Syrian weapons bound for the militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Other reports indicate that Israel is re-deploying units of its Iron Dome missile defense system.
