President Obama announced in his Saturday address to the American people that his administration will attempt to overhaul the controversial education policy known as No Child Left Behind.

President George W. Bush signed NCLB into place; the legislation aimed to close the achievement gap between white, black and Hispanic students in U.S. public schools, but critics say it has failed.
