The Lebanese have had rough month. And it may get rougher. Especially in south Beirut. There have been tit for tat bombings in the area, and scores dead.

Israel is in the tough position of being close to Syria and having a history of conflict with the country. As evidence mounts that Syria has used chemical weapons on its own citizens, Israel has drawn its own lines that its ambassador to the United States says it won’t allow Syria to cross.

A group of Israeli tourists were targeted, and five of them killed, in a deadly suicide bombing outside an airport in Bulgaria. Now, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has blamed Iran for the attack.

For months, Hezbollah leaders denied their fighters were in Syria. Now, they’re crowing about their military prowess.

The leader of the Lebanon-based Hezbollah militant group this week declared that friends of Bashar al-Assad would not let the Syrian president fall. The World’s Matthew Bell reports on Hezbollah’s role in the Syrian conflict.
