‘Bully’ rating controversy shows inner workings of movie ratings system
After weeks of controversy, the film “Bully” finally obtained the PG-13 rating it coveted. The documentary about America’s bullying problem and the young people whose lives are directly affected by it, was originally given an R rating by the Motion Picture Association of America, because of its harsh language and intense scenes.
