The New World shopping mall in Bangkok is now pretty old. It is also abandoned. At least by humans.
Now it's full of an "absolutely staggering amount of fish," according to travel writer Jesse Rockwell.
Apparently, an unknown person introduced a small population of koi and catfish into the mall after it flooded back in the 2000s.
Rockwell writes:
The small population of fish began to thrive and the result is now a self-sustained, and amazingly populated urban aquarium.
Rockwell is doing his part to preserve the site's mystique and won't disclose its exact location. But he says you can contact him through his blog if you're really curious.
