Now Hiring: Graphics Editor

BOSTON, Mass. — The award-winning international news organization GlobalPost is hiring a Graphics Editor at its worldwide headquarters in Boston.

We are looking for someone who can take a piece of web content and turn it into something so visually engaging it’s impossible not to share. You should have an eye for crafting anything from lead art to shareable charts and graphs. Expert skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and content management systems are required. Knowledge of CSS and HTML is a plus. An understanding of how to interpret and present data is a huge plus. You should be excited by the idea of designing your own graphics and creating your own content, every day. You should also be comfortable working with data journalists in the field, handling pitches, and editing for both content and appearance.

Working under the Social Media Editor, you will also be expected to help manage social media accounts and craft strategies for engagement. You know what makes a story shareable, from the headline on down. You can make a GIF. And you understand the voice of the web.

You are innovative, can work independently and are not afraid to try new things. You thrive in an always-evolving, collaborative environment. You have a sense of humor. You energetically embrace internet culture and are eager to join a hard-charging editorial team that’s helping redefine international news in the digital age.

Mostly, you care about the world.
