Restoring Cherished Photographs After A Natural Disaster

The World

A global volunteer network with the skills to salvage and restore photographs is increasingly coming to the aid of survivors in recent natural disasters.

Anchor Aaron Schachter speaks with another New Yorker, photo restorer Becci Manson, who helped launch an international network that helped to salvage thousands of family snapshots in the aftermath of Japan’s 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
