As events unfolded in Boston last week, Mayor Thomas Menino spoke of the compassion he saw in the local community in the wake of the bombings:
“Here, we know our neighbors. We grieve for them.”
There’s a push to make this Saturday “Neighbor Day.” The campaign started here in the US and began long before the Boston bombings. But perhaps now “Neighbor Day” demands closer attention?
