Mona Rishmawi is the chief of the rule of law branch in the office of the United Nation’s High Commissioner for Human Rights. She has been following the news out of Libya closely and thinks it is imperative that the violence stop, saying “I do not accept that this cannot be stopped.” She says that international crimes may have been committed in Libya. However, can the U.N. do anything to change Gadhafi’s policies or his violence to his people?
