Summer sleepaway camp conjures images of starry nights and fire-roasted s’mores. But this year, something is creeping around summer camps. It’s H1N1, also known as swine flu. What should parents do? Our next guest says the answer is a dose of Tamiflu to control outbreaks at camps. Dr. Marc Siegel is an associate professor of medicine at New York University and author of Bird Flu: Everything You Need to Know About the Next Pandemic and False Alarm: The Truth about the Epidemic of Fear . More importantly, he is a parent of a kid in camp. He joins The Takeaway with his thoughts on flu prevention and camp songs. Also joining the conversation to discuss how his campers are keeping their germs to themselves is Peter Kassen. Peter and his wife Meg run the Hidden Valley Camp in Freedom, Maine.
