Smithsonian Folklife Festival

The World

For the Geo Quiz, we are looking for a South American country whose music and rich folk life may not be as well-known as its history of drug cartels and violence. But it is its folk life that is on display this week on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The country is also famous for growing some of the world’s finest coffee beans.

Colombia is the answer to the quiz.

Anchor Marco Werman talks to Olivia Cadaval, who is a curator at the Smithsonian Museum.
