Political Winds Changing for National Wind Power

The Takeaway

Encouraged by Governor Deval Patrick Administration’s goal to expand wind power, communities across the state of Massachusetts are considering or constructing wind turbines.   But those plans may be in jeopardy due to accusations from several residents in the town of Falmouth that a turbine installed last year has changed their lives and not for the better. They say it’s giving them headaches, insomnia, vertigo and more. Is wind power worse for us than we thought?   For more on the “Falmouth Experience” we speak to  two reporters who have embarked on a five-part investigative series for our partner station WGBH.   Sean Corcoran, is a reporter for WCAI in Cape Cod, and reporter  Heather Goldstone, is WCAI’s Science Editor the Author of the Climatized Blog.
