Global Hit — The Producers in Berlin

The Mel Brooks musical comedy “The Producers” smashed box-office records on Broadway.

And it’s been staged in many countries around the world.

But not in Germany — at least not yet.

The musical tells the story of two New Yorkers who dream up a “get-rich” scheme.

It involves putting on a tasteless show called “Springtime for Hitler.”

Now, there are plans to stage “The Producers” in a German theater once attended by Adolf Hitler himself.

Lone Bech is the spokeswoman for the theater — the Admiral Palast in Berlin.
