For today’s Geo Quiz, we’re looking for a scenic town along the Yellowhead Highway. That’s a main east-west route in Canada. One end of the highway is in British Columbia.

The town we’re looking for is located between the BC cities of Prince George and Prince Rupert. Some might say it’s kind of in the middle of nowhere. But not local resident and musician Alex Cuba.

?We are about the same distance to Alaska or to Yellowknife from there. It’s an incredible valley, surrounded by incredible mountains.?

The town symbol is a statue of a man blowing an Alpine horn. And the town’s 6,000 residents call themselves smithereens. We’ll hear more from Smithereen musician Alex Cuba …when we reveal the answer…

Hope you weren’t blown to smithereens by our Geo Quiz.

It’s just that the Canadian town we were looking for is named: Smithers.

The answer is Smithers, British Colombia.
