The new Miss Universe is Dayana Mendoza of Venezuela.
The other 79 contestants who left without the crown can take solace in a new CD called “Fragile Beauty.”
It’s by singer Huong Thanh and guitarist Nguyen Le.
They’re originally from Vietnam, but now live in Paris.
Their new release is a selection of traditional Vietnamese songs and new material.
In the title track, Huong Thanh sings, “Beauty is fragile. When it’s gone, all you can do is sit by the banyan and wait.”
