Romney son wanted to punch Obama during debate

The polite, well spoken eldest son of Mitt Romney has revealed his anger during Tuesday's heated debate when President Obama accused his father of being dishonest. 

During an interview this morning with a North Carolina radio station, Tagg Romney was asked how it felt when he heard "the president of the United States call your dad a liar."

"Jump out of your seat and you want to rush down to the stage and take a swing at him," Tagg answered, laughing, Buzzfeed reported. 

"But you know you can't do that because … there's a lot of Secret Service between you and him, but also because this is the nature of the process," Romney told Bill LuMaye of WPTF-AM. 

"They're going to do everything they can do to try to make my dad into someone he's not. We signed up for it. We've gotta kinda sit there and take our punches and then send them right back the other way."

The 42-year-old father-of-six has taken on a strong role throughout the campaign to support his father, the Daily Mail reported. 

A Romney spokesman said that his comment on radio was "all in jest".
