Olympian Kerri Walsh Jennings was pregnant during Games

Kerri Walsh Jennings was competing for two when she won her third Olympic gold in beach volleyball at the London Olympics this summer. The gold medal champion told NBC's Today show that she was five weeks pregnant during the Games.
“When I was throwing my body around fearlessly, and going for gold for our country, I was pregnant, and today I’m 11 weeks pregnant,” Walsh Jennings told Today host Matt Lauer.
It will be baby number three for Walsh Jennigs, 34, and her husband Casey Jennings who are already parents to kids Sundance, 2, and Joseph, 3, reports People.
Walsh-Jennings told TODAY.com that she and her husband started trying for another baby before the Olympics, saying she thought "it would take me a while" to get pregnant.
But luck struck early for the couple and Walsh-Jennings was already feeling the effects of pregnancy in London.
“I’m a pretty happy girl and I was unreasonably moody,” Walsh Jennings said.
“I thought it could have been the stress of the games and travel kind of throws your schedule off, but I knew,” Walsh Jennings told Lauer. “At some point, you’re late and then you start feeling something. And I definitely started feeling something in London.”
Walsh-Jennings' longtime teammate, Misty May-Treanor, told AP in August that she was retiring after their most recent gold medal at the London Games.
"I want to be a mom and share time with my family. All of us as athletes sacrifice more on the family end than people realize," she said.
Walsh-Jennings says she's still hoping for another Gold medal four years from now.
