The victim, who fell on the tracks after passing out, later lost a leg after the train hit him.
Closed circuit TV cameras caught the robbery, which caused uproar in Sweden when local TV aired it.
Tips led law enforcement to arrest the suspect on Friday, police representative Kjell Lindgren told The Associated Press on Saturday.
Police also arrested two accomplices for possessing stolen goods.
The incident happened at 3 am on Sunday, The Local reported.
Footage of the crime aired on the crime program “Wanted” a few days later, putting police into high gear.

“This is Sweden’s most wanted man right now,” police officer Dan Ostman said.
He stole the 38-year-old victim’s wallet, cellphone and gold chain.
It might not be the suspect’s first robbery of an intoxicated subway passenger.
Additional footage surfaced later showing a similar looking suspect robbing another passed out subway passenger.
“We recognize this person. It seems to have been some sort of approach that he was using,” Ostman said.
