Roseanne Barr misses out on the Green Party’s Vice-Presidential nomination

Actress Roseanne Barr has missed out on being chosen as a vice-presidential running mate for the Green Party's presidential candidate Jill Stein.
AFP reports that Barr had been on the short list, but in the end Stein, 62, opted for Cheri Honkala, 49, a former homeless single mother who is a community activist in Philadelphia and national coordinator for the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign.
The announcement was made at a press conference in Washington, during which the The Washington Post reports the nominees "dealt graciously" with questions about Barr. However, Stein said they had no specific role designated for Barr in either the campaign or a hypothetical administration, but hoped she would continue to be a voice for the Green Party.
Barr had already responded to the nomination on Twitter writing: "The Green Party has never been interested in anything I have to say," adding "Class and race are unimportant issues to the GP," and giving Jill Stein her backing as "the best candidate running."
