Whitney Houston: singer found underwater in bathtub

The Associated Press reported that singer Whitney Houston was found underwater and apparently unconscious in her Beverly Hills hotel bathtub and she had prescription drugs in her room, authorities said Monday.
Houston’s body was due to be flown home on Monday night to New Jersey for a funeral at the end of the week, according to AP.
The coroner in Los Angeles said no foul play is suspected in Saturday's death of singer Whitney Houston, Reuters reported.

An autopsy was completed Sunday, assistant chief coroner Ed Winter told journalists, but the cause of the 48-year-old's death would not be known until further toxicology tests were completed in about to six to eight weeks.
The autopsy was performed at the request of detectives investigating the circumstances of Houston's death, the BBC reported.
Winter would not comment on rumors that Houston was possibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
"I'm not going to comment on any of the meds or prescriptions that were obtained. I'd just comment that she was found in the bathtub … I believe somebody removed her from the bathtub and the paramedics did CPR on her."

Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, 18, has been released from Cedars-Sinai Hospital after being treated for “stress and anxiety,” ABC News reported.
