Muppets mock Fox News (VIDEO)

The Muppets, yes, the Muppets got in some digs at Fox News at a press conference in London, while promoting The Muppet Movie.

Kermit the Frog addressed a reporter’s question on Eric Bolling’s accusation that the movie was pushing a “dangerous liberal agenda.”

In Dec. 2011, Bolling, host of Follow the Money on Fox News said, “We’re teaching our kids class warfare. Where are we, Communist China?”

Bolling’s guest on the Dec. 5 episode, Dan Gainor of the Media Research Center, stated, “It’s amazing how far the left will go just to stop – to manipulate your kids to convince them – to give them the anti-corporate message.” The debate went viral, and Slate magazine even created a hashtag for it on Twitter: #GOPMuppetHearings

At the London press conference, Kermit said, “They were concerned about us having some kind of prejudice against oil companies, and I can tell you that’s categorically not true.”

He continued, “And besides, if we had a problem with oil companies why would we have spent the entire film driving around in a gas guzzling Rolls-Royce?”

“It’s almost as laughable as accusing Fox News of being… news,” added Miss Piggy.

“Boy, that’s going to be all over the internet,” Kermit said. And it sure will be.
