A Gaza-based group launched another attack on Israel… but it's not the type we're used to.
According to the Jerusalem Post, an Israel-based daily, a group calling itself the Gaza Hacker Team commandeered the website for Israel's Fire and Rescue Services. The hackers posted a photo of Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon with footpoints superimposed over his face.
The Jerusalem Post referred to the incident as "the latest of a string of cyber-terror attacks against Israeli interests." But given the level of violence that has taken place between Gaza and Israel in recent years, that seems like a stretch.
Gaza's bandwidth is also so slow, and its electricity so sporadic, that it's hard to imagine an attack more sophisticated than the low-level hacking of a website.
