BP is suing contractor Halliburton to assume all responsibility for for the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill, the largest in U.S. history. The British oil company is suing its former partner, saying Halliburton failed to properly cement the well at the Deepwater Horizon rig. No dollar amount was given in the filing, but BP has previously estimated damages at around $42 billion.
