Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain told CNN that he will be accused of having an extra-marital affair but that the accusations are false.

"I did not have an affair," Cain reportedly told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on "The Situation Room." "I have done nothing wrong."

A TV station in Atlanta will be airing a story about the alleged affair, Cain's attorney told CNN.

“It was pretty simple,” Ginger White said in an interview to air at 6 p.m. Monday, the Washington Post reported. “It wasn't complicated. I was aware that he was married. And I was also aware I was involved in a very inappropriate situation, relationship.”

Cain todl CNN: "This individual is going to accuse me of an affair for an extended period of time … It is someone that I know who is an acquaintance that I thought was a friend."

Accusations of an affair against Cain come after multiple women accused the candidate of sexual harassment during his time as head of the National Restaurant Association in the late 1990s.

Cain, who was once a frontrunner in the race for the GOP nomination, has since fell in the polls and now trails former Gov. Mitt Romney and former House of Representatives Speaker Newt Gingrich.
