Aaron Sorkin may write Steve Jobs movie

Producers looking to turn Apple founder Steve Jobs’ life story into a feature film are considering having Oscar-winner Aaron Sorkin write the screenplay, the Los Angeles Times reports. “A person who was briefed on the project but not authorized to speak about it publicly” told the L.A. Times that Sorkin had not yet made a decision.
According to the L.A. Times, Sony will adapt Jobs’ official biography, which was written by former Time Magazine managing editor Walter Isaacson, and the film will be produced by "Saving Private Ryan" producer Mark Gordon.
Isaacson’s book came out on Monday.

According to PC Magazine, Sony has yet to confirm that it has bought feature rights to Isaacson’s book. Neither Sony nor Sorkin would comment on the rumors.
Sorkin won an Academy Award for Best Screenplay Adaptation for “The Social Network,” which was based on Ben Mezrich’s book about the creation of Facebook, PC Magazine reports. Sorkin’s other television and film credits include “The West Wing,” “A Few Good Men” and “Moneyball.”
Media watchers gave a thumbs-up to an Isaacson-Sorkin pairing.
According to the L.A. Times:
Sorkin is known for penning stories about the lives of fiercely smart, if difficult, figures, of which Jobs certainly was one. Isaacson's take on the late executive as someone whose penchant for "magical thinking" was both a great advantage and a fatal liability seems particularly suited to a Sorkin script, as does the detail about Jobs' biological father, whom he met unwittingly at a Silicon Valley restaurant.
