The tiny country of Moldova sits just next to the southwestern border of Ukraine. Moldova is one of the poorest countries in Europe. It’s not a member of NATO or the European Union. It’s also got hundreds of Russian troops based in the breakaway region of Transnistria, a sliver of territory that sits along the Moldovan-Ukrainian border. It all makes for anxious times for this country, as Andrew Connelly reports from Moldova’s capital, Chisinau.
