US family still stuck in China

The pandemic changed lives around the world. Two years ago, when COVID-19 broke out in China, we reported on a California family who traveled to China – and found themselves stuck. There was a visa snag. The US Embassy closed. The family — mom, dad and two young kids — remain in China nearly two years on. The World’s Monica Campbell first reported on the family back in early 2020 and has kept in touch with them. She has this update on how the pandemic has upended their lives.
