Hate crimes against Asian Americans appear to be on the rise around the country. A group in Oakland’s Chinatown has organized residents, who are formerly incarcerated, to serve as community ambassadors. Heidi Shin takes a tour of the community with some of these people, who are particularly trying to help the elderly.
