New York museum to return antiquities to Cambodia and Thailand

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has agreed to send more than a dozen Khmer-era treasures to their countries of origin. The museum’s collection has been under investigation after evidence surfaced that they were looted during Cambodia’s civil war. The agreement between the Met and Cambodia opens the way that other antiquities to be returned in the future.
