Mexican American teenage singer Yahritza booed by Mexican audiences

Teenage singer and songwriter Yahritza is from Washington state. She performs her spin on urban Mexican regional music with her two brothers. They’re from a musical family who moved to Washington state as migrant farmworkers. But her recent fame led Yahritza and her brothers back to Mexico, where an unfortunate interview turned many Mexican fans against her. As Andalusia K. Soloff reports from Mexico City, they were booed at Mexico’s Independence Day performance on the Zocalo last weekend.
