A Korean grandmother has won over the hearts of hundreds of Milwaukeeans by teaching them how to cook authentic Korean food. Seon Joo-oh came to the US when she was in her 40s and didn’t speak any English. Today she’s teaching cooking classes at the local recreation department as WUWM’s Education reporter Emily Files discovered.
