Canada’s history of residential homes for Indigenous children is under scrutiny after the discovery of the bodies of 215 children on the grounds of a school in British Columbia. Institutions including the Catholic Church are being questioned for their complicity in the mistreatment of Indigenous children. Reporter Emily Schwing hears the reaction of a former student at one of these homes, and a Catholic priest’s apology.
