In Istanbul, Turks are doing what they can for earthquake victims

The epicenter of the first earthquakes in Turkey was some 700 miles to the south of Istanbul. People in Turkey’s largest city might not have felt the shaking, but they’ve certainly felt the emotional impact, and have mobilized to help people in the south of their country. They’re gathering medicine, canned food, tents, blankets and whatever else they can. From Istanbul, Fariba Nawa has more.
