In Iran, mass protests against the government are now in their seventh week. They were sparked by the death of a 22-year-old Iranian Kurdish woman, Mahsa Amini. She died in police custody after being arrested by the country’s morality police. Since then, at least 250 people in Iran have been killed in crackdowns on demonstrations, according to human rights groups. Some of the worst violence has taken place in areas belonging to Iran’s minority ethnic groups. Reporter Yasmine Mosimann is just across the border, in Iraqi Kurdistan, speaking to people who’ve fled, including a relative of Masha Amini.
