El Salvador anti-gang law targets media

El Salvador issues a major press censorship law amid gang violence, mass arrests and a state of emergency. After a weekend of bloodshed where gangs were blamed for leaving 62 dead bodies in the streets around the country, President Nayib Bukele issued the state of emergency — curtailing civil liberties. And this week, a new law banning the press and others from providing information about gangs could lead to a 15-year prison sentence if violated. Host Carol Hills speaks to Carlos Dada, director of El Faro online newspaper based in El Salvador.
