A Haitian artist fights to preserve the vodou religion

More than 200 years after throwing off slavery and founding the world's first free, black republic, Haitians are still struggling with one foundational element of their identity: vodou. Haiti owes its independence, and much of its arts and culture, to this Afro-Caribbean religion, but the people who practice it say their faith is being stigmatized.
