Myrna Domit

Myrna Domit has been working abroad as a journalist for more than 10 years. In New York, Myrna worked as a radio producer at the United Nations Department of Communications. She also spent four years in Haiti working in the Department of Public Information for the United Nation Peacekeeping Mission in Haiti. While in Haiti, Myrna also contributed stories to the Associated Press during a time when country was plagued with violence (2006-2008) breaking news on a range of topics — kidnapping spree, health, international development and gang conflicts. She now lives in Brazil and works as an editorial assistant and videographer for the New York Times.

Myrna has a M.S. from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism with a specialization in New Media and a B.A. in International Relations and Latin American Studies from Tufts University with a minor in Nationalism, Culture and Identity Studies. She speaks fluent Portuguese, English, Spanish, French and conversational Haitian Creole.
