Kaitlin E. Thomas

Kaitlin E. Thomas is an assistant professor at Norwich University. She has a doctorate in Hispanic studies from the University of Birmingham, UK, with a focus on contemporary cultural studies. Her research delves into US and Latinx identities resulting from transborder cultural and national fusion, undocumented Latino immigration and contemporary Mexico. Kaitlin has traveled extensively throughout the Spanish-speaking world with stints in Spain, El Salvador, Mexico, Guatemala, Cuba, Argentina and Costa Rica, and has published a number of pieces that explore intersections between social media and cultural iconography, as well as exploring music as a site for resistance. She presents frequently at conferences around the world including as an invited TED speaker at the TEDx Chester River event hosted by Washington College.
