When Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni came to power two years ago, there was lots of talk about her far-right ideology and dubious political views. But two years on, she has unquestionably become an influential voice in the European Union. She has helped shape the EU’s migration policy, persuaded Europe to backtrack on climate plans and helped shore up support for Ukraine. So how has she done it? The World’s Europe correspondent Orla Barry reports.
