Zakaria Ibrahim, known as El Rayes, was the founder of the legendary Egyptian musical ensemble, El Tanbura. His life’s work was preserving a style of music that was popular in his hometown of Port Said, going back to the 1800s. Host Marco Werman has this tribute.
