Japan Fukushima nuclear power plant anniversary

It’s 13 years since a powerful earthquake in Japan killed about 20,000 people and caused a meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. Most of the residents of Fukushima who were evacuated following the nuclear accident have now returned to their homes. Last year, despite opposition from locals and neighboring countries, operators of the plant began releasing treated wastewater into the sea. So far, this has not affected safety levels of seawater around the area. Hosts Carolyn Beeler and Marco Werman have the story.
