Most things on our supermarket shelves have taken a long ride in a clunky, oblong steel shipping container. The 20-foot-long versions can hold anything from 400 flat screen TVs to 50,000 bananas. Without these containers, the global economy would grind to a stop. But almost all of them are made in one place: China. The World’s Patrick Winn reports that the US wants to lessen China’s grip.
