El Salvador has transformed in the past few years from one of the most-violent countries in Latin America to one of the safest. That’s largely due to the intense crackdown on gangs by President Nayib Bukele. He’s up for reelection this weekend, and expecting a resounding win, although presidents in El Salvador are legally only allowed to serve one term.
