Panama’s move to close copper mine has regional repercussions

Panama’s Supreme Court this week declared that the contract for a major copper mine in the country was unconstitutional. The decision follows more than a month of protests that had shut down roads and commerce in Panama. They were some of the largest environmental demonstrations Latin America has seen for a long time. Michael Fox reports from Panama on the regional implications of the Supreme Court decision.
